Event Info

Using the Citibike API (yes, really!), this class will introduce core programming concepts to beginners with the Python language, and showcase how even basic knowledge of Python can boost productivity in your day job or kickstart a career in web development. Students will leave with basic programming knowledge, an overview of Pythonic syntax and functionality, and an intro to principles of object oriented programming.

Prerequisites

None! Also, a laptop computer may be helpful to follow along with the slides, but is not required.

Instructor

Rohan Deshpande is the co-founder of LearnCS101, the offline school in NYC that combines in-person group instruction led by top developers with online curriculum. Prior to LearnCS101, Rohan was an early employee and lead developer at Gilt Groupe. He has since consulted a number of successful internet startups including GroupMe, TimeHop, and Trendrr.
